WHY (WE) SIMPLIFY SEO?

People who work in the search engine optimization industry (often) obsess on every little change in the search engines. It's what they do for a living. You don't have that kind of time. SEO isn't what you do for a living. You have a business to run. Perhaps a family. Maybe you want a social life that's not on blogger, facebook or twitter. But, you still want better rankings. More traffic. We can help.

NOT A TECH GEEK?

Well, thank heavens, because, that's what we do! Stop beating yourself up for it already... you don't need to be a tech geek to run a business. You just need to know one. Aren't you glad you found us?! Go ahead. Browse. Enjoy!

    Hi Linda,

The phone and visuals sounds great.

What about Skype? Can we use that?

  2. katlady Says:

    Hey Walt!

If you can believe this, I’ve never used skype and don’t know a thing about it. If you can call any phone number with skype, using it shouldn’t be a problem. I’ll go do some checking so I don’t sound as clued out (about skype, anyway) as I really am. lol.

  3. Elke Says:

    Hi Linda,

I also think it’s a nice idea to split into phone and web lessons.
Thanks sooo much for the offer.

  4. Wilda Says:

    Hi Linda,

I’ll go for your MP3 download (timezone issue)

    cheers

  5. SimplyD Says:

    Hi Katlady,

I love the idea of using both, especially anything that will allow us to peek under the covers of WP in a step by step sort of way.

Hi Walt, re: skype, sometimes on a conference call it can cause a lot of “noise” so we need to be ready to mute..

  6. Rhonda Says:

Ypur plan will work just fine. Really looking forward to the classes. “See you soon.”

  7. Carol Says:

I’m the one who suggested UStream.TV on the survey. I don’t recall if I mentioned that it’s free. Many big name marketers are starting to use it. The biggest benefit is that it’s web based so there would be no long distance charges for any of us (although Skype is another good alternative). Text chat works fine during the broadcast. And your camera can be pointed at your monitor instead of yourself if you wish to show us things as you’re doing them. Text chat box is rather small, but that’s the only negative.

  8. Carol Says:

Sorry, I forgot the link to UStream for seeing how to set up broadcasting - http://www.ustream.tv/get-started

  9. Mark Says:

Hi mp3 sounds good to me but Skype is fine also just choose whichever is best.

  10. Bj Says:

    Linda,

Audio/Visual with phone in sounds great. I am used to unlimited dailing in the us but not sure what it would be to dail in to where you are. The second class being like a webinar sounds awesome too. Looks like we will have the best of both worlds!.

  11. Mark Says:

    Linda,
Sounds good anyway you would like to try :) I’m not sure as Bj said about calling outside US on my cell plan either…Thats for heads up Bj didn’t think about that one.

  12. John Says:

Yes I think it is a good idea audio and visuals…living in Australia, it would be great if we could use skype (ie free call-in).

  13. Kathy Says:

Ustream is good for the AV stuff but yes, the chat and screen are rather small. With skype, you can get an echo effect from the speakers unless you use a headset mic.

Whichever way you decide, I’m really looking forward to the classes.

  14. Paula Says:

    Hi Linda,
Sounds great. I need to check on calling outside the U.S.also

  15. katlady Says:

Did I mention that you guys are amazing? I’m getting such incredible feedback, and appreciate it very much.

FYI, I’m pretty sure I can get a USA conference number so those of you in the US don’t have to call outside the US. Would that help?

    :)
    Linda

  16. Ginger Coleen Says:

    Hi Linda -

Phone and visual is OK for the first class. Would really like to see an totally online class though.

Thanks so much for doing this. I’m really looking forward to it and to networking with other like-minded people.

I like the way you think, Linda, and I’m looking forward to learning from you. I can feel it in my bones: this is going to ROCK! :-)

BTW, I like your new “look” in here, too! ~Debi

  18. Walter Says:

I did not receive the information on the time etc.. for todays seminar. Are we still meeting?

  19. katlady Says:

    Hey Walter…

We sure are. I’ll be emailing the pdf and details shortly!
    Just finishing up the PDF.

    :)
    Linda

  20. Debi Says:

    Good morning Linda!

I just popped in here to tell you I really enjoyed your inaugural class last night. My husband (who was listening in with me) disconnected the line before I had a chance to say, “Thank you!”

    Husbands! ;-)

    Enjoy your day!

    Aloha,
    Debi

  21. katlady Says:

Glad you enjoyed it, Debi! And thanks for letting me know about the stumble icon. Now I just need to find a minute to check why it’s not cooperating.

    :)

  22. Randy Hendricks Says:

    Linda

I was just compiling my notes from the last few classes in 16 Steps and noticed that you were going to start a class. You always had great comments on the chats.

It appears that I missed the first call and I am “sick” about that. How can I get in on the rest of the calls?

    Randy (Edmond, Oklahoma)

  23. katlady Says:

Hi Randy… You can catch up on the first one with MP3. I’ll send you info by email. I’ll send it to the email address you used when you posted - it’s in my blog admin.

  24. George Kedourie Says:

    Hi Linda,
    First of all, Thank You!

I live on an Island in the Mediterranean. All the way around from you. Sadly I can not be up at 4am for the calls because that really kills me the next day.
As I drive,I have been listening to your very good sense on my iPod.

Please stay with the mp3s as that is the best and easiest way to learn what you are teaching.

I find video very useful when things are being demonstrated but not so great when there is only a person talking or slides going by with the same thing on them as the what is being said out loud.

That being said, if you use ustream and have a mac, there is a free program called camtwist which will put your desktop on ustream.

I am very pleased to be on your course and am keeping my fingers crossed for the mp3s!!

    Best to you,
    George

  25. KO Says:

Linda, super cal last eve. (5/20/09). I need the (unit 1) notes, additional sheets and MP3 from the 5/13/08 call. I have the 5/13/08 PDF. I clicked on your 5/14/08 email link and it took me to the current unit #2 info. Thanks for nonthreatening dissemination of info.

    Thanks,
    KO

  26. Michael Says:

    Hi Linda,

Have not been on the 16 Step Facebook group in quite a while and just found this.

    Hope it’s not too late.

Are there archives I can look at to catch up?

    Thanks

    Michael
